Homemade Pizza a HIT!

Last night was pizza night, as per my Menu. I had never made either recipe before and was beginning to think it wasn’t worth all the trouble to prepare. I told Dearest that if the pizza wasn’t knock down good I wasn’t going to bother with it again!
As it was cooking it smelled wonderful and [...]

Sharing…

Here’s the picture I captured as I quietly opened the back door
so as not to disturb our human bird feeders.

Baby Girl crawling

I saw a great bumper sticker today that said “Somedays I wish I was a missing person” LoL We’ve all been there haven’t we?
We’re off to my in-laws for supper. Yipee! don’t [...]

Wondering what to post Wednesday?

I wanted to blog a Wordless Wednesday post of my children being human bird-feeders but in our home we have a monster that likes to eat batteries so I have no batteries to boot up my digital camera with. That will have to wait I guess.
Then I wanted to blog a Works for me Wednesday post but [...]

Count your many blessings!

A few days ago I was so very thankful to the Lord for how he has blessed our family. I was rejoicing in the little ways He has shown us that He cared. It was definintely a “mountain top” week.
Then came a “valley”…Among other things, I was discouraged because of several unexpected bills that came in the [...]

Easy as pie…errrrr bread

I came across this recipe/method in Mother Earth News awhile back but because I didn’t have a Dutch Oven I forgot about it. Then my mother-in-law bought me a beautiful, red 6 quart Dutch Oven for my birthday and because I’ve been so excited to cook any and everything in it I looked up this method again. I’m always on the [...]

Think about it Thursday

                                                                 What if . . . . .

God decided to stop leading us tomorrow because
we didn’t follow Him today?

What if . . . . .
God couldn’t take the time to bless us today
because we couldn’t take the time to thank Him yesterday?

What if . . . . .
We never saw another flower bloom because we
grumbled when [...]

Is YOUR bedroom a retreat?

Today, I read an encouraging post entitled Retreating to our bedrooms….. You should check it out and maybe do a little evaluating
I know a lot of ladies that struggle with keeping their bedrooms uncluttered and kid free. For some, their bedroom is the last to clean, therefore often going undone because of the demands [...]
