For Today…Outside my window… the sun is just beginning to make an appearance over the horizon and the weather man promises it will be a glorious spring day filled with sunshine & warmth!

I am thinking… today is full of new opportunities to let my light so shine before my children. I was so convicted in yesterday’s sermon…We are always so careful about our testimony with others, strangers but what do our family & our children think about our Christian life? Do we walk the walk or just talk the talk? I am afraid I am guilty of saying and requiring one thing yet doing another. Lord help me today.

From the learning rooms… attempt our first lapbook this week. A trip to the library for books on the Swamp Fox and the Revolutionary War.

I am thankful for… the friend that plowed up our garden & will come today to disk it!

From the kitchen… Corned beef casserole, broccoli, rolls and something baked fresh today using my new grain mill!

I am wearing… pajamas still…khaki t-shirt material skirt & purple striped T-shirt

I am reading… no time for books this week, but I am spending my reading time (maybe I’m stealing time from another task?) visiting blogs at the Ultimate Blog Party.

I am hoping… I feel better as the day goes on…woke up feeling kind of puny.

I am creating… a garden plan with the hubby today during coffee time. Corn, beans, peas, potatoes, onions, lettuce, cabbage…YAY! It’s spring!

I am hearing… the children beginning to stir. How can they wake up with SO much energy and vigor to start the day!?

Around the house… breakfast, chores, errands, baking.

One of my favorite things… the trips we take twice a week (Monday & Thursday) to get milk & eggs, often with a stop at our local Mennonite store “The Country Cupboard”

A few plans for the rest of the week…
continuing with garden preparations, reporting the kids’ grades online, revival meetings perhaps later in the week, getting a hair cut before my birthday trip with my best friends! (A big deal as I’ve not had my hair cut in years! My hair is at my bottom and I desperately need a “trim”…a foot or so taken off J)

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you…
