Creamy Garlic Salad Dressing

April 28, 2009 > 11 Comments

I love garlic, and although some folks say it doesn’t love me, I still eat it.

When I eat this dressing I make sure everybody else eats it too. That way I’m not alone!

Thankfully, every one of us loves it and 3 of our children only like to eat salad as long as this garlic dressing is drizzled about.

It makes for a good veggie dip and my husband has been known to use it for chip dip…but I’ll stick to veggies icon wink Creamy Garlic Salad Dressing

It won’t be long before we’re looking for ways to eat all the yummy produce in our gardens, so I hope you’ll try this yummy dressing.

Creamy Garlic Salad Dressing

2 cloves garlic, finely minced (I use a garlic press)
½ cup mayonnaise
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
2 TBLS white vinegar
1 TBLS olive oil
1 TBLS whole grain Dijon Mustard (optional)

Add to jar, then shake and enjoy!

NOTE: This recipe doubles (or triples!) well, but I would not add more garlic. 2 cloves is plenty to flavor even a triple recipe! If you like play around with how much garlic to add. The original recipe calls for 3 cloves but I’ve found that other people that don’t like garlic as much as I do icon biggrin Creamy Garlic Salad Dressing think it’s too spicy. So I’ve cut it down to 2 garlic cloves.

that sounds good. You know, my hubby eats his salad dry. Probably one reason why he’s skinny.

I love garlic, too. You’d have a hard time convincing me that there is such a thing as too much garlic! : )

I have been matching up my coupons and haven’t been making my dressings but there’s nothing better than home made dressing. Thanks for sharing with Tasty Tuesday.
