First Day of School
September 3, 2008 > No Comments
Well, today is our first official day of school. Yay!…I think…
I used to love the structure school brought to our home but since we’ve moved I’ve been in a funk when it comes to school and cooking. HELP! I am, however, determined to get on the ball this week and get back to my old self.
I’ve come up with this somewhat new daily schedule for the 2 older children. This schedule / list of responsibilities is mostly the same as we’ve always had, I just reformatted it and combined it all on one sheet. Now I can look in one glance as to whether they have met their responsibilities to determine what kind of free time they get.
So, for those of you that love to look at other homeschooling mom’s schedules (like me!
), here’s our chore chart / school schedule.
I’ve left the times off of each subject to give me some wiggle room to allow for life, more spontaneous learning and group learning especially in science and history.
I am excited about getting started and look forward to implementing some new ideas and techniques that I’ve not attempted much before (i.e. Charlotte Mason & unit studies)
I am working on blogging my favorite links for homeschooling…stay tuned!
Don’t forget to check out all the different schedules over at The Homeschool Blog Awards.
