Life around here

…has been a little crazy with sick children. All 5 have come down with colds/coughs, little Susannah being the sickest. 2 weeks later she is still running occasional fevers, eyes are goopy & runny, and her cough is wicked. She goes through periods of being clingy but for the most part she’s happy thankfully…just not letting mommy get a full nights sleep!

We took our van to get the brakes fixed because they were grinding. The repairman said it was a good thing we brought them in when we did because not only did the brakes need to be replaced but so did the rotors! We had been driving around with bad brakes for awhile, in turn damaging the rotors. PTL we took it in when we did! While he had it he looked at our transmission. We thought our transmission was going out because for the last couple of months it would slip. When backing out of our driveway we’d have to shift gears to park, reverse, park reverse, park reverse to get it to engage…then we’d have to sit in the road and shift gears…drive, park, drive, park, drive park…until it decided to go. We just knew we were headed for big money we don’t have a new transmission. After inspection it appears all we needed was 2 QUARTS of transmission fluid! Can you tell we have no one mechanically inclined in our family!? LoL

School is school I’m sad to say. I wish I had something wonderful and exciting and different to report but I don’t. My friends Dwelling in the Land and Huff Homeschool Happenings always have something new and exciting they’re doing…I’m just boring I guess! Our children are learning and sometimes it’s fun but for the most part it’s just work. I do love the method we use (although we tweak it a bit to fit our goals and lifestyle), but since our move I lack motivation to do much of anything exciting. I’ll get excited and motivated for all of a day or 2 and then it fizzles and dies. Anyway, nothing new to report on school.

Well, the children are aimlessly wondering around for something to do so here I come to the rescue!
