mpmpencil Menu Plan Monday: March 30th

I am still going through the process of cleaning out my freezer and pantry. I won’t be able to make it completely without a grocery trip, but I’ll come close I think. These are not necessarily scrumptious meals (actually kind of strange perhaps LoL) but I am determined to clear out all the old food and start anew. When I restock I hope to avoid processed, fast foods that somehow make their way into my freezer, either by me, Dearest or the in-laws J

And I am even considering menu planning for the whole month of April. We shall see…

BREAKFAST

·         Corn grits with cheese

·         Oatmeal

·         Whole Wheat Banana Millet Muffins

LUNCH

·         Sandwiches

·         Leftovers

SUPPER

·         Monday~ Bar B Q sandwiches & 2 hamburger patties along with ½ a bag of frozen hash browns & baked potatoes

·         Tuesday ~ Pinto Beans & cornbread

·         Wednesday ~ Chicken & rice casserole

·         Thursday~ Battered fish fillets, homemade fries

These meals will officially clean out my freezer and pantry of unwanted odds and ends. My cupboards will be bare. JObviously I will still have staples such as dried beans, corn grits, sucanat, nuts, seeds & grains etc…But these were not the items I wanted to clear my pantries of. I will be making a trip to the grocery store for the following meals:

·         Friday ~ Taco Pinwheel (we did not do this meal last week as we had so many leftovers from Thursday’s meal to do for lunch and Friday’s supper)

·         Saturday ~ Chili

·         Sunday ~ Crock-pot Corned Beef & Cabbage

Maybe next week I will have a more appetizing Menu Plan, but until then I will enjoy the purging! J

Hope you all have a wonderful week!

This sounds like a delicious menu especially the taco pinwheel!

I love the concept of just making due with what is in the pantry. It is amazing the meals we can actually come up with if we are just creative. We did a little of that last week. Maybe, we should do it more often.
