Poor Man’s Beef Stroganoff

- 1 lb hamburger
- Couple splashes of Worcestershire sauce
- 1 chopped onion
- 8 oz sliced fresh mushrooms
- 1 can of cream of mushroom soup (or you can make your own)
- 1 can of cream of chicken soup (or you can make your own)
- 16 oz sour cream
- Salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika to taste
- 2 Tbls butter
- 1 package egg noodles, cooked
In a large skillet brown onion and hamburger meat. Add mushrooms and cook for a few minutes longer till mushrooms are cooked. Splash Worcestershire sauce generously.
Add soups to meat heat through. Stir in sour cream and seasonings. Simmer for 20 minutes. Slowly stir in butter.
Serve over noodles.

Yummy! This is basically my recipe that I (& my mom) have used for years – and one of my favorite recipes! I throw in garlic with the onion, and skip the Worcestershire and just use one can of cream of chicken (or mushroom).
