Simple Woman’s Daybook

FOR TODAY – March 1, 1010

Outside my window the sun is shining, the cat is patiently waiting for her food, and I am noticing now that the porches are needing a good sweeping.

I am thinking of all the tasks I need to do today. Monday is technically my day off. Any moms out there even know what that really means!?

I am thankful for the ability to be able to wash the mountains of laundry we have from the week-end in my own home and not have to go to the laundromat like so many people have to do.

From the learning rooms today, we’ll be learning the basics. Nothing special is planned. But I am excited about the new things I am thinking of switching around to make our school days more efficient!

From the kitchen I hear sounds of hungry children.

I am wearing red heart pajamas, but will be heading for the shower as the kids eat breakfast.

I am creating a standard weekly menu that will help me tremendously in the kitchen. Seems to be one of my major weaknesses, menu planning. I hope to blog about my new not-so-new method.

I am going grocery shopping this afternoon – by myself!

I am reading John Adams by David McCullough and Paula Deen’s Spring magazine

I am hoping that I will have an easy delivery. I am starting to stress over birthing options. There are drawbacks to every method I consider.

I am hearing Baby Girl screaming to get her own way. I really must nip this in the bud.

Around the house I see so many things I’d like to do, but money or energy prevents me from doing them! Looking forward to the burst of energy that comes along with the nesting urge.

One of my favorite things seems to be organization lately. I remember watching a Nanny 911 and she said that you cannot have a large family and wing it. It takes lots of planning, determination, and organization. I thought, “Man is she right!”

A few plans for the rest of the week:
1. Packing and seeing hubby off for a 3 day trip with our pastor to “Pastor’s School”
2. Baking bread, muffins, cookies etc to freeze for later use.
3. Organizing
4. Organizing
5. And then maybe some more organizing

Here is picture for thought I am sharing
