FOR TODAY December 16th…
Outside my window…the sky is gray and the rain is falling making it a wonderful day to stay home.

I am thinking…that I sure would like to bundle up with a cup of hot coffee and finish the chapter I read this morning in “Passionate Housewives Desperate for God.”

I am thankful for…my wonderful husband and the children the Lord has blessed us with and all the many blessings He showers down on us daily.

From the learning rooms…The twins are just beginnng to learn the fun (and sometimes boring) activity of flashcards. Kaitlyn got many crafts for her 1oth birthday last week, so she has the difficult task of deciding which craft to work on next! Nathan is fascinated with explorers and has exhausted our DVD library learning aboutfar away lands, kings, and cultures. I have to say, I’ve enjoyed watching and learning with him!

From the kitchen…I have thawed for the past 2 days a 6 lb chicken that our friends the Custers so generously gave to us when we visited them over Thanksgiving. Today, I am going to roast this massive bird with plans to have chicken & dumplin’s for supper. Mmmmmmm…

I am wearing…a denim skirt and a boring white/gray/black striped shirt

I am creating…a huge pile of greeting cards that need to be filled out and delivered

I am going…nowhere. Although I did have plans to grocery shop but who wants to get 5 children out and unload groceries in the drenching rain!? Not me! icon smile The Simple Womans Daybook ~ December 16

I am reading…Passionate Housewives Desperate for God…I did get several magazines in the mail today to add to my reading table. No Greater Joy, Taste of Home, The New American, HSLDA.

I am hoping…that the LORD makes His prescence real to my husband tomorrow during his day long job interview.

I am hearing…the rain on the roof top and the distant laughs of the Bubbas playing in the basement

Around the house…several loads of laundry need to be done this afternoon/tonight

One of my favorite things…afternoon coffee-time with my sweetheart.

A few plans for the rest of the week:
1. Stay within my points (Weight Watchers)
2. Do some research/organizing thoughts regarding our church’s homeschool co-op
3. Stay caught up on laundry
4. Go grocery shopping

Here is picture thought I am sharing…

I noticed that you do weight watchers. I also noticed that you love Jesus. That is great. God really helped me lose a lot of weight with weight watchers. I actually lost 130 lbs on weight watchers and have kept the weight off for one year so far.

    Great blog.

Check out the before and after pics if you want.
