The Supper Challenge: Day 4 and 5
June 19, 2009 > No Comments
Day four’s supper was another hit – Black Bean and Ham Soup. My family loves beans so I knew they would like this dish.
It made enough to provide lunch and supper for Day 5 and because we are trying to eat frugal this week I will have to forgo supper plans for tonight and eat the leftovers.
Had we not had so many left-overs I would have fixed Chicken Divan for supper tonight. Check it out. It’s a great meal to have for company!
Tomorrow we are having a Father’s Day picnic at the church my husband used to pastor. We are looking forward to fellowshipping with our friends and family. Lunch will be pot-luck and I plan on making Amy’s Candy Bar Ice Cream. Supper will most likely be breakfast food – eggs, sausage, potatoes and maybe biscuits.
Be sure to head over to Five J’s and see how Joy is doing this week.
Next Monday Joy and I will each host a Mr. Linky and you can link up and share your recipes for yummy suppers that you’ve added to your menus.
We’d love for you to join us in any of our meal time challenges, just focus on making breakfast, lunch or supper every day this week, trying out new recipes or making the family’s favorites. Perhaps you’d just like to help us with our master menu plan; please link up your corresponding ideas or recipes, the linkies are still open.
You can find the linky for The Breakfast Challenge here and The Lunch Challenge here.
