I'm not into romance novels, never have been...but you're right. Just because it may be "Christian" doesn't mean the devil won't and can't use it to bust up your marriage. Now, before I was saved and when I was 17 or so, I loved those romantic comedy movies...it's the same thing as the novels, except minus the "values" But I found it skewed my thinking about how a real relationship and , especially a marriage, would be. It's hard work...telling unmarried girls anything less than that is lyin to them. No man is perfect, no woman is perfect. Am I saying Christian romance novels are from the devil...no. But it doesn't have to come from him to be used by him. He's our adversary...seeking whom he may devour and he's after our homes, our marriages, and our children. We have to be on the lookout for the things he uses to undermine us...it's different for different people. Amen, sister and I'm so glad you're back to blogging. Sure have missed you.
