What’s in a Name?
April 24, 2009 > 4 Comments
These are magnets we bought years ago at an attraction (Rock City in Chattanooga to be exact) They are our favorite fridge magnets. Since we’ve had Susannah I have looked for her one to match to no avail.
I tried to capture the name meaning in each picture, so I hope it is readable. While we have tried to name all our children meaningful names, we didn’t name them because of these particular meanings. Having said that, I am still amazed at how *true* these meanings are for each of us!
BTW, I DID use a banana to prop up the magnets!

Proverbs 22:1
A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches,
and loving favour rather than silver and gold.
Ecclesiastes 7:1
A good name is better than precious ointment;
and the day of death than the day of one’s birth.

I really like these. I love those scriptures too. If we would all think about the things we do and how our names could be forever remembered we would all live much closer to God. Maybe you could get one of those flat magnet sheets from a craft store and make one to match? That would be better than nothing.

They are awesome Amanda.. I’m sure you’ll find Savannah’s soon. We found some simular to yours in Helen Ga .. had the names and the meaning but didn’t have a place to insert a picture.. I love yours much better. Thanks for sharing your treasures with us.
Have a Blessed Weekend.

Those are really neat! I have never even looked up my childrens names. We chose to spell them different and because of that I think of them as special in their own little way. I need to look them up though..I really like the frames you have though!
Have a great week in the Lord
